Medical alarm systems are crucial for seniors. Even those in good health can benefit from having one. I wrote a heartbreaking post about a friend that shows just how devastating a simple fall can be. You can check it out here: http://www.seniorsafety.com/wordpress/index.php/2010/09/20/avoid-disaster-with-a-medical-alarm-pendant/
I agree – they really are crucial. My grandmother had a bad fall a few years ago and broke her hip. She was in a nursing home, but since she was in her room when she had the accident, the response of the nursing staff was probably not as quick as it could have been, as they didn’t have an immediate notification that an accident had happened.
Oh man, we don’t have that much money to send our grands in home for the aged. But we take care of them at home which is better than in nursing home.
Great blog, i am very glad that medical alert system have present in our life. It is becoming a part of our life. It is life savior device.
